We’ve had a busy fall at White Horse. There is no shortage of work and all of us must admit we get a thrill out of putting things this gorgeous out into the world. Here are two more responsive design websites we’ve recently launched, and we’re plenty excited about them:

Good Fruit Grower

User Experience, visual design, digital strategy, mobile design, CMS engineering, SEO, ecommerce, magazine/publication

Good Fruit Grower, a leading trade industry magazine, requested support with not just a site redesign, but an overall emphasis on reader research and revamp of its digital strategy. White Horse provided recommendations for advertising, social, email and web content, as well as a fresh new responsive look and reorganization of content in a WordPress format.

The most dramatic change was a shift from organizing past content by issue to a focus on navigation by category. Based on user research, readers consider most content to be evergreen and often seek out information topically. Other features include a revamped advertising system (served through Doubleclick) and an integration of all social channels.

Zero Waste Energy

User Experience, visual design, digital strategy, mobile design, SEO, CMS engineering, B2B

Zero Waste Energy, a renewable energy startup, required a new site that would allow a broad range of users to quickly find relevant information about their available technologies and ongoing projects.  Our goal was to provide immediate illumination of what can seem to be complex services, as well as their benefits, and to subtly convey active deployment of the technologies by using artful images and statements. It was also imperative to provide high utility for tablet and mobile users, which was accomplished using a responsive design.

Moving beyond the home page, information is further disseminated in levels, providing increasing detail about solutions and approaches. Content has been specifically designed for web to provide maximum information in a small amount of space without overwhelming the site visitor. Imagery is used throughout the interior to again help convey their cutting-edge technologies and that they are already being deployed by ZWE. News items from local and national media organizations are interlaced throughout the site, including on page sidebars, to help further illustrate and reinforce their business concepts.

We’re excited to help our clients of all sizes bring the best elements of their organization together in a showpiece that is both beautiful AND easy to navigate. Let us help you make your site into the most fabulous sum of your parts. Contact us to get it started.
